Quality

Warrior’s highly trained team performs a battery of tests before equipment is ever put into service. Once onsite, our field personnel assemble and re-test all equipment to ensure that no damage occurred during transport. Upon completion of a job, every piece of directional drilling equipment is returned to R&M where skilled technicians carefully clean, restore, inspect and test each component to as-new condition.

Managing Partner / Operations Manager
David “Mike” Young is co-founder and Sr. Operations Manager of Warrior Directional Drilling. Mike is responsible for the organizational alignment of all business activities and strategic direction in the areas of all drilling activity and M/LWD Operations and their overall P&L success while ensuring the safe operation of our personnel and equipment.
Mike is an oil and gas professional with technical expertise in directional, horizontal and extended-reach drilling equipment design and maintenance. He has successfully designed and developed world-class drilling equipment and provided operational excellence and leadership for organizations such as Halliburton, PathFinder Energy Services and Schlumberger. Mike’s career roles have included: highest achievable level M/LWD Field Engineer; provided flawless job execution as Operations Coordinator; Performance Engineering Group (PEG) engineer employing every available resource to acquire, analyze and assign root cause of service interruptions and correction actions to ensure the highest level of service quality; and, LWD Operations Manager responsible for employee management and development, inventory management, operations, service, HSE, quality, training, planning and budget management for the entire Logging-While-Drilling (LWD) operations.. Mike received a Bachelor of Science in Industrial Technology from ULL (formerly University of Southwestern Louisiana).

Jimmy Leger
Managing Partner / Directional Drilling Manager
Jimmy Leger is Warrior’s Directional Drilling Manager providing strategic direction for the drilling organization and ensures the safe, efficient and effective planning and execution of all drilling activity. Whether it be a tough drill design or problems on a drill site, Jimmy enjoys tackling any difficulty that may arise.
Jimmy’s drilling trade began in 1993 at Gray Wolf Drilling as a derrick hand and his since worked his way up the highest achievable levels of Directional Drilling Supervisor and DD Coordinator at Weatherford, PathFinder Energy Services and Schlumberger contracting to operators such as ExxonMobil, BP, Chevron, LLOG Exploration, W&T Offshore and others.

Terry Thibodeaux
Sr. Technical Sales Leader
Terry is Warrior’s Business Development Manager who is responsible for new business development and maintenance of existing business relationships. He is a highly experienced sales professional with extensive knowledge and contacts in the oil operator market who has developed skills in pricing for both growth-market conditions and down-market conditions.
Terry’s career spans over 35 years in onshore and offshore operations in Louisiana, Texas and various unconventional shale plays across North America with companies such as Smith International, Halliburton, PathFinder Energy Services and Schlumberger. His career has included roles in Operations, Technical Support, Coordinator, Field Engineer, Strategic Planning, Sales, Marketing, and Product Launch. Terry’s technical expertise is primarily in directional/horizontal drilling, rotary steerables, high-performance mud motors, drilling dynamics, and MWD/LWD. He has a wealth of knowledge in well control operations and relief well contingency planning while accurately targeting well intercepts for blowout relief. He is skilled at well intercept for production development as well as specialized drilling for pipelines in unique site-specific situations under sensitive waterways and rivers. He has also been involved in geosteering, horizontal drilling, extended reach drilling, coiled tubing drilling, and managed pressure / underbalanced drilling.
